ICYMI: Watch the Tanukana vs Yuyu first-to-ten set in Daigo Umehara’s Kemonomichi 2

A grueling FT10 between Japan’s top two ladies of TEKKEN.

Quite possibly the most exhilarating exhibition match last night in Daigo Umehara’s Kemonomichi 2 was the Tekken 7 Xiaoyu Ling mirror match between Tanukana and Yuyu. The two ladies squared off in a meaningful first-to-ten set to that would determine who is “first lady of Tekken in Japan.”

Tanukana is your more known player these days, having traveled much during TEKKEN World Tour 2017, while Yuyu is lesser known to much of the new school TEKKEN community. Last night may have been their first introduction to Yuyu. She is a fierce veteran player from the arcade days who took time off from competitive gaming to pursue family and motherhood. But she is back and doesn’t appear to have skipped a beat.

Yuyu says she has never lost a tournament or casual set against Tanukana. Did things change last night? We won’t spoil it for you. Check it our for yourself.

His first experience with Tekken was in the early 90's, and it was Tekken 3 that sealed the deal. True story... As a teenager Zee once received his Winn-Dixie paycheck and spent it all at the arcade the same day. Needless to say, his mother wasn't pleased.
