Digital Foundry says in review that Tekken 7 not 1080p/60fps, but still looks and plays great

Digital Foundry says Tekken 7 only achieves 900p/60fps.

Digital Foundry got their hands on Tekken 7 and published a review of the game earlier today. They say while the game looks amazing and plays very smoothly, it is not natively 1080p/60fps, but rather 900p/60fps. They also state that they game “looks soft” and appears to have a grainy film-like filter over it. They’re hoping there is an option to remove it. They don’t appear to be big fans of it.

Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada has stated in the past that the game will indeed be at 1080p/60fps.

As they state in their review, this was the experience on a base model PlayStation 4. Also, keep in mind, we don’t know if this is the final version they were testing or not, or if the final build will ship 1080p/60fps by the time of release.

Hopefully Harada-san will clear this matter up.

Meanwhle, we’re reaching out to Digital Foundry to find out how they reached this conclusion.
