Remember that $450 limited edition Heihachi Sukajan jacket? Here’s what happened to it
The jacket that everyone wanted has seen the end of days.
Remember when that limited edition reversible Heihachi Sukajan jacket that was revealed last year at San Diego Comic Con ? Of course you do, because everyone wanted one. But then everyone immediately fell back when they learned of its $449.00 price tag. Many of you had a lot to say about it.
Do you know anyone who purchased one? I don’t. I’m not sure why, but that thought passed through my mind last night, “whatever happened with that jacket?”
Wanting answers, we asked the community.

Outside of esports figure Jessica Chobot, and obviously Harada-san and Michael Murray, I don’t know of anyone else who has this jacket.

Consider yourself blessed Jessica! (smile)
If anyone has this jacket they are the only ones who will possibly ever have it. Why? Because the project was cancelled.
Mark ‘MarkMan’ Julio responded to our tweet with the following.
@TekkenGamercom unfortunately the product was cancelled.

It’s not too surprising, because that price tag was pretty hefty. The surprising part was the price tag actually. Who was the target demographic? And you know why I ask that.
So this begs the question, why was it cancelled? And since it’s cancelled, how many of them were made, if any? A small number was obviously made, because we see photos of people wearing them. But if you remember correctly, the jacket was for pre-order for quite some time. And usually with pre-orders you are able to gauge how much of a demand there is for your product before you mass produce it. My guess is that pre-order sales were little to none.
Again, that’s just a guess. I’m not sure why it was cancelled. They could’ve sold all of the pre-orders and the project still got cancelled. I don’t know. All we know is that it was cancelled.
If some were made ahead of time, hopefully they will turn up online somewhere like eBay. Or, and this is a stretch, they will make a return, but at a much cheaper price.
Don’t get me wrong, that jacket is very well made and looks to be of great quality, but for nearly $500, I definitely had to pass on it.
Believe me though, I wanted one. Did you? What price would you have been willing to pay?
Let us know.
