Harada says Mishima saga will ‘end by death’ of Kazuya or Heihachi
How the Mishima saga would conclude has been a huge topic of debate for years. Today that debate came to an end.
It is has been known for a good while that Tekken 7 will be the “conclusion of the Mishima clan saga.” Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada first revealed this at San Diego Comic-Con in July of 2014. That major detail always begged the question how can the Mishima saga come to an end unless there is at least one or more significant deaths or a major truce within the Mishima family? Most believe this indeed meant a death would take place, and we were of that same group. We’ve stated it on more than one occasion.
.@LeopoldTheBrave Only way for the Mishima saga to end is for those involved to die. Strongly believe there will be a death and a birth.

.@JinKazshima Strongly believe someone will die. Could even be Jin (after he marries and Xiaoyu is pregnant). His son will avenge him.

Well, all of this speculation ended today after we sent out the following tweet:
Hard not to think Tekken 7's story mode won't play out like a cinematic movie. Who's ready to watch how the Mishima saga comes to an end? pic.twitter.com/ZNHWapopsy

The tweet instantly started discussions, but went to another level when MarkMan of the Tekken team quoted us and said the following:
Someone is going to die. Who is it going to be!? I can't wait to see how the story reaches its epic finale! Are you team KAZUYA or HEIHACHI? https://t.co/UVPmoRnx7a

This was the first time that someone closely related to the game had actually confirmed that someone would indeed die. But did this mean it would be Kazuya or Heihachi? Or could it be someone else? Some thought Mark didn’t make a definitive enough statement to say for sure. Our very own Zoë A even started a poll asking who do you think will die? The results show that overwhelmingly people believe Heihachi is going to bite the dust.

Some thought the end of the Mishima saga also meant the end of the Tekken series. And since the talk about someone dying in Tekken 7 was already on the table, Harada-san went ahead and cleared some things up.
Not everything is over.
But "Mishima" confrontation between Kazuya and Heihachi will be end by the death of either one.

Final Thoughts
So there you have it. Either Kazuya Mishima or Heihachi Mishima will be dying in Tekken 7. But that doesn’t mean no-one will die. This just means one of these two will definitely die when it comes to ending this family feud. As well, this doesn’t mean they won’t return in Tekken 8. Tekken characters are infamous for making returns in another form due to either a spiritual transformation, or some robotic “cyborgism.” With video games it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
As we said in our tweet, Tekken 7 story mode looks to be a very great cinematic experience.
But there’s one only more question left. Will Jin and Xiaoyu marry?
She will marry.
