About Collision

Tekken Collision started as an E-Sports event held in Lima, Peru for the popular video game series “Tekken.” The first installment of the tournament series took place on March 5th, 2016 featuring the current version of the series in the region: “Tekken Tag Tournament 2” and a side tournament of the old “Tekken Tag Tournament” arcade version (1999). With the idea of hosting major events centered around bringing the best players from around the nation and highlighting some of the best international competitors from various nations, COLLISION emerged as a premiere event for Tekken in Latin America.

During 2016, TEKKEN COLLISION became the largest Tekken tournament in Latin American history with 208 entrants. In the whole continent, it was only surpassed by the multiple-game events EVO 2016 (543 entrants) and the CEO (256 entrants) both held in USA featuring Tekken 7.

Aziz Peregrino-Brimah aka Zee the CEO | Founder / Editor-in-chief of TekkenGamer | Gaming has been a passion of Zee's since the early days of Atari and ColecoVision. His first experience with Tekken was in the early 90's, and it was Tekken 3 that sealed the deal. True story... As a teenager Zee once received his Winn-Dixie paycheck and spent it all at the arcade the same day. Needless to say, his mother wasn't pleased.
