The Pulse: Community reactions to Tekken 7 at gamescom 2016

Gamescom is over for another year, and Bandai Namco revealed a handful of new and exciting information on Tekken 7! From ‘Kid Kazuya’ to the return of Lee Chaolan/Violet, we certainly have a lot to look forward to. So how did the community react to some of the announcements? Let’s take a look!

The reveal of Kid Kazuya definitely got the fans talking, with most of the discussion being focused on if he will be a playable character. Katsuhiro Harada stated that this all depends
on if the demand for him is high enough. We ran a poll over on Twitter, and the results definitely speak for themselves!

As expected ‘Most definitely’ was the most popular result, with the majority of the community selecting this. 33% also stated that they’d like to use him, but offline only. Fans have been discussing the possible balancing issues when using him.

What do you think? Would you like to like to play as ‘Kid Kazuya’? The anticipated return of Lee Chaolan and his eccentric alter ego Violet gained excellent reactions from the community.

As always with a new character announcement, fans then took to twitter to request the return of their most wanted characters.

Is there anyone you’re still wanting to be added to the roster, or are you happy with the current layout? A new stage and story mode were also revealed during the event. Fans seemed to be in awe of the design of the new setting, and rightly so – it looks amazing!

The new story mode promises to deliver hours of gameplay, with sub-plots being unlocked as you progress through the game! Newcomer Claudio is also confirmed to play a major part in Tekken 7’s story.

Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long with the Tokyo Game Show just around the corner.
