The King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016 is December 10th – Japan qualifier registration open

UPDATE: To be clear, this is for Japanese qualifiers. Qualifiers for other countries have not yet been announced.

Registration for The King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016 is now open. There will be two qualifiers this year, one taking place on November 11th in Osaka, Japan, and on November 26th in Tokyo, Japan. The deadline to register for the Osaka qualifier is October 14th 11:59pm (JST), and November 11th 11:59pm (JST) for the Tokyo qualifier. The finalists from the qualifiers will be eligible for The King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016 grand final, which takes place December 10th. As you should already know, the game to be played is Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.

Having placed first and second at EVO 2016, Saint and Knee of Korea already qualify for the grand final.

There have been qualifiers in North America in the past, with Jimmy J Tran (aka Mr. Naps) representing the USA last year, but there have not yet been any announcements for this year. Somehow we believe the Tekken Tour may tie into it. We’ll see. But please note that this event is not to be confused with the North American The King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016. That is completely a Tekken Tour event and totally separate.
