Who isn’t hype about EVO right now? Virtually anyone who loves fighting games should be, because it is the biggest exhibition of raw talent and skill that could ever be showcased in a tournament. And everyone gets ready in their own way. Gamers hit the lab and start studying match-ups, vendors stock up on merchandise and get their price sheets together, and media person get ready to capture all of hype and sound bytes.

One such media person is Hold Back to Block’s Esteban Martinez.

You’re probably already familiar with his work, because he is the guy who produces all of the Tekken Tour recap videos. Well, earlier this year he and his production company produced a film called “FGC: Rise of the Fighting Game Community.” It explores the past, present, and future of the competitive fighting game scene and the players that call it home.

Normally it would cost you $9.99, but now you can forever enjoy this feature film for free.

Hit Esteban up on Twitter and thank him!

Aziz Peregrino-Brimah aka Zee the CEO | Founder / Editor-in-chief of TekkenGamer | Gaming has been a passion of Zee's since the early days of Atari and ColecoVision. His first experience with Tekken was in the early 90's, and it was Tekken 3 that sealed the deal. True story... As a teenager Zee once received his Winn-Dixie paycheck and spent it all at the arcade the same day. Needless to say, his mother wasn't pleased.
