E3 2016: Harada talks PSVR for Tekken 7, says JDCR ‘is not a human opponent’ and more
During E3, digital tech news site Engadget caught up with Tekken Director/Producer Katsuhiro Harada to pose some interesting questions. You’ll see all of the questions in the video, but the one that stuck out the most was related to VR. They asked him “what can you say about Tekken 7 coming to VR?” He couldn’t give too many details at this time, but he did say that most people’s initial reaction is that it would be hard for Tekken to be first person. Harada has actually tried it early on in a different VR headset, and it wasn’t that fun because the screen was fixated. But with the [PlayStation] VR, it’s very clear and you’re able to look around and move.
“JDCR is not a human opponent, but like a machine” – Harada-san
