Nakatsu says ‘many more’ characters coming to Tekken 7FR, along with Kelot-themed customizations
The Kelot Cup with took place today in Japan, and several interesting and surprising announcements were made. Tekken 7: Fated Retribution assistant producer Nakatsu announced the YAMASA, the company responsible for creating the Tekken 7 arcade slot-machines, will be collaborating with Bandai Namco on Tekken 7FR to introduce new in-game customization items. The customization’s are based off of Yamasa’s slot-machine mascot named Kelot – which is simply a cute, little green frog. Is this the same frog that was in the arcade classic Frogger?
Take a look at some of the custom items. As you will see, some of these look totally exclusive to the arcade version. We wonder if all these customization’s are exclusively related to the arcade version?
Along with that announcement came some even more surprising news. Nakatsu also said that ‘many more’ characters are planned to be added to the roster of Tekken 7FR. You can write this in stone, because it doesn’t really get any higher than Nakatsu (and Harada) when it comes to knowing what’s planned for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.
Lastly, Bandai Namco is planning to hold a Tekken 7: Fated Retribution event around the release of the game in arcades this July. No details have been giving yet.
