District G continues its Tekken 7 tournament series with WAR III in London on February 24th

The Pro League title and £1000 are up for grabs at WAR III! Registration is open!

After a 6-month-long campaign, the pro Tekken community will descend upon London’s Heart of Gaming venue on Saturday, February 24th to see a champion prevail in the WAR III: The Pro League tournament presented by UK esports organization District G. The winner, who will take the coveted Pro League title, will also walk away with a stake of £1000 ($1,420 USD) prize pot, sponsored by Gamestatix.

After two impressive qualifying rounds, with the likes of Roo Kang, Haroun, Bonus Jin and Asim securing their seats at the pro-league table, the third installment of WAR promises to feature world class game play and emerging talent from the expanding Tekken 7 eSports community.

Reflecting on the success of the tournament, team CEO, Joe Nwasokwa, said “Not only have we seen some incredible play from the top players, we have also attracted so many new faces. We are really excited to see who will take the title home- it’s almost impossible to call.”

Whatever the outcome, tournament entrants and spectators are promised the unique District G experience, especially in its new venue, where it will be live streamed for the first time ever. Details on where the stream will take place are forthcoming.

Nwasokwa also added “Heart of Gaming is an incredible venue, it’s a gamer’s paradise, mixing retro and modern, coupled with A live DJ, free giveaways, special surprise guests and plenty of free play, it’s set to be our best event yet.”

Looking towards the year ahead District G will be working with their team, honing their Tekken 7 skills for the global stage. That, coupled with a campaign to encourage more women to the fighting title at a competitive level, there is plenty to come from the London based collective.
