Bamco responsive to Tekken 7 feedback; PS4 updates coming, character balances mentioned

Tekken Team handling Tekken 7’s post-launch support the right way.

Bandai Namco announced earlier today that they were receptive to user feedback from PC users concerning the patch they released yesterday that was supposed to improve the online experience. Instead of making things better, it apparently caused more issues. And as a result, the Tekken Team released another patch that rolled it back to its previous version.

The praise of Tekken 7 on PC has been paramount to the console versions. The overwhelming majority of users on PC have said the online experience has been nothing but great. They also talk about how awesome the game looks with it’s motion blur, 4K vividness and 60 fps.

No wonder they decided to roll things back. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” as the saying goes. But big ups to the Tekken Team to be so quick and responsive. It shows that that they are truly listening – even while Harada and Michael Murray are currently in Los Angeles for E3.

Though at E3, Harada is still taking to Twitter to engage about Tekken 7. He revealed today that more updates for Tekken 7 are definitely on the way. Addressing online related issues are on their radar.

Lastly, when asked about if Tekken 7 will have balance patches, Harada emphatically said yes, and based on statistical data. It won’t be just because someone said “Akuma is OP!” He didn’t give a timeframe though, but only said “yes, it will” happen.

All of this is great to see and hear. This kind of responsiveness and quick rollout of patches from a developer helps build confidence in a game.
